 Tim DeMott joined the
Blue Tide as Head Coach in 1997, after coming from Maryland where
he was the Head Coach of Harford County YMCA.
Since joining the Blue Tide, coach DeMott has been able to build
on ABT’s long tradition of being one of the
best small-town swim clubs in the nation, highlighted by several State
Champions, and Regional and National Qualifiers.
Tim is a 1991 graduate of Iowa State University
where he earned his degree in exercise science and swam sprint freestyle for
the Cyclones. DeMott is an ASCA level 4 coach.
Harriett Peak has coached for the Blue Tide since 1985. With her energetic and
enthusiastic instruction, she has helped guide the development of many
successful ABT members during her tenure.
All our coaches are currently certified by the American
Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) and regularly participate in professional
training opportunities. Our staff is dedicated to providing members with
quality instruction based on sound principles and the most recent techniques
and training methods.
